Student Massage Clinic - Johnston Community College Therapeutic Massage Program
About Us

Johnston Community College Therapeutic Massage Program is an AAS degree level program.

All of our students complete their 1st year of study by graduating with a certificate or diploma in Therapeutic Massage.  Upon successful completion of their 1st year, our students are eligible for their NC license in Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork.

Having completed the 1st year of school, students then begin study into their 2nd year of the program with specialities in the field of massage & bodywork therapy.  Many of our students work, as therapists, during their 2nd year, although some students choose to concentrate on their studies.

Students must successfully pass all massage competencies before being permitted to participate in the massage clinic.  They "practice" on each other during their lab assignments to adequately prepare them to "work" with clinic clients.

In giving our students the educational opportunity of a "virtual" Spa & Wellness Clinic, we also provide the community a chance to experience, firsthand, what massage & bodywork can do for them!

Our community, our friends, our massage students, our campus community, local physicians, and sports enthusiasts alike, have allowed us to share the opportunity of introducing Massage & Bodywork Therapy as a part of the Health Sciences curriculum at Johnston Community College.  THANK YOU!
